Apex is a FPS game set in a sci-fi setting. This game started as my personal project but I'm hoping that it will make a good entry for the Intel Game Demo Competition.

In the far flung future, The Empire spans the Galaxy. It is the crowning achievement of mankind. A Government that listens to the people and keeps them safe, and for millenia peace reigns. However, all things cannot last forever. On his daughter's wedding day, the Emperor falls to an assassin's bullet, and the age of darkness begins. Soon the three major powers of the galaxy, The federation, which include parts of the remnants of the now fading Empire, the Neo Soviets, who during the time of the Empire were a minor resistance group but have since become the second biggest military in the galaxy, and the Mercenary Union, who will fight for whoever pays them the most, all fight to claim the grand prize: the Imperial Throne world. The player enters the game as a member of the Mercenary Union, and after an attempted coup at the M.U. training planet, the player becomes the leader of a ten man squad. After that I haven't planned anything out...
